If you are playing any team game, you level up each member of the party. The same is true in a business.
We often only send leaders to growth conferences or hand managers the books to study. While managing resources from the top, the people doing the work stay on the old level. They are asked to execute a strategy they were never taught to run.
Training that stops at the leadership team leaves the frontline to invent the process. That invention is usually a workaround. Level the people who touch the customer, the handoff, and the close. Otherwise the new language stays in the offsite and the old habits stay on the floor.
